Speaker | Clif Kussmaul is Co-PI for multiple Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning grants from the US National Science Foundation and Google. He has led guided inquiry learning workshops for the American Society of Engineering Education, among others across the US and south India, where he was a Fulbright scholar. He is an Associate Professor at Muhlenberg College, USA and holds a PhD from UC Davis. |

Guided Inquiry Learning is a teaching approach used to develop engineering thinking skills, cited by a Nature editorial as the “prime example” of an effective pedagogical innovation. This evidence-supported approach offers an alternative to step-by-step exercises and lab protocols by introducing more opportunities for students to encounter uncertainty and complexity.
