Female professors continue to be underrepresented at Swiss higher education institutions. By introducing PRIMA (Promoting Women in Academia), the SNSF aims to contribute to the appointment of female professors in Switzerland. PRIMA grants are aimed at excellent female researchers from Switzerland and abroad who aspire to a professorship in Switzerland. PRIMA grantees lead their own research project at a Swiss higher education institution. They work independently and have a team of their own.

This information session is aimed at female researchers at postdoc level from all disciplines as well as interested professors who want to learn more about PRIMA. In the course of this session, Professor Dr. Susan Gasser will elaborate on the modalities of this new SNSF funding scheme. In her function as president of the SNSF Gender Equality Commission, Gasser has been significantly involved in the forming of PRIMA.
