This can sometimes make these tools frustrating to install and use. Turning these tools into reliable, maintainable resources for the broader community requires testing infrastructure, clear documentation, and long-term support. The Rosetta Commons provides resources, staff, and training to help make this process straightforward and rewarding for developers and contributors, while helping reduce the frustration users often experience when installing and using new tools developed in the community.
\r\n
\r\nBio:
\r\nIn this seminar, Hope Woods (Technical Product Lead) and Rachel Clune (Documentation Writer) will highlight several Rosetta Commons resources and discuss the benefits of hosting software within the Rosetta Commons infrastructure. They will also describe their work with developers of tools such as Foundry, HBDesigner, AtomWorks, and FrustraMPNN to help ensure these projects can be maintained and supported by the community over time. Finally, they will outline pathways for researchers interested in bringing their own tools into the Rosetta Commons ecosystem.
\r\n
\r\nZoom link for attending remotely: https://epfl.zoom.us/s/65780945453","image_description":"Prof. Cecilia Clementi","creation_date":"2025-02-11T00:28:10","last_modification_date":"2026-04-07T16:55:57","link_label":"","link_url":"","canceled":"False","cancel_reason":"","place_and_room":"ELE 117","url_place_and_room":"https://plan.epfl.ch/?room==ELE%20117","url_online_room":"https://epfl.zoom.us/j/69492794190","spoken_languages":["https://memento.epfl.ch/api/v1/spoken_languages/2/?format=json"],"speaker":"Dr. Rachel Clune and Hope Woods, Open Rosetta Team","organizer":"Prof. Bruno Correia, Laboratory of Protein Design and Immunoengineering (LPDI), Institute of Bioengineering (IBI), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)","contact":"Anna Diaz, Laboratory of Protein Design and Immunoengineering (LPDI), Institute of Bioengineering (IBI), École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)","is_internal":"False","theme":"","vulgarization":{"id":2,"fr_label":"Public averti","en_label":"Informed public"},"registration":{"id":3,"fr_label":"Entrée libre","en_label":"Free"},"keywords":"","file":null,"icalendar_url":"https://memento.epfl.ch/event/export/115516/","category":{"id":1,"code":"CONF","fr_label":"Conférences - Séminaires","en_label":"Conferences - Seminars","activated":true},"academic_calendar_category":null,"domains":[],"mementos":["https://memento.epfl.ch/api/v1/mementos/8/?format=json","https://memento.epfl.ch/api/v1/mementos/9/?format=json","https://memento.epfl.ch/api/v1/mementos/111/?format=json","https://memento.epfl.ch/api/v1/mementos/416/?format=json"]},{"id":71292,"title":"Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation – Accelerating Drug Discovery for Frontotemporal Degeneration| Research Funding","slug":"alzheimers-drug-discovery-foundation-accelerating","event_url":"https://memento.epfl.ch/event/alzheimers-drug-discovery-foundation-accelerating","visual_url":"https://memento.epfl.ch/image/32650/200x112.jpg","visual_large_url":"https://memento.epfl.ch/image/32650/720x405.jpg","visual_maxsize_url":"https://memento.epfl.ch/image/32650/max-size.jpg","lang":"en","start_date":"2026-05-11","end_date":"2026-05-11","start_time":null,"end_time":null,"description":"Aim: There are currently no FDA approved disease-modifying treatments available for frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and symptomatic treatments only provide limited benefit for patients. Target ALS funds investigators who collaborate across scientific disciplines and research constituencies to drive medical breakthroughs for the treatment of ALS.
\r\n
\r\nAs new therapeutics have begun moving the needle for ALS patients, tracking disease progression and monitoring the effects of drug treatment have become even more important. Biomarkers are needed to stratify patient populations, understand response to therapeutics, and quantify disease progression.
