AI Project Support - Call for Applications

Are you working on an early-stage innovation powered by artificial intelligence? Apply now for the AI Project Support and receive up to CHF 50'000 in non-dilutive funding, along with tailored support to accelerate your project. 

Who can apply?

The grant is open to EPFL: students, researchers, postdocs, and alumni who graduated within the past five years. To be eligible, at least one team member must be affiliated with EPFL. Your project should go beyond the idea stage, with some form of early technical validation such as a prototype, simulation, or initial results. Artificial intelligence must be a core element of the innovation either by advancing AI technologies themselves or by using AI as a key enabler. The selected teams should be ready to commit to further development over the next six months, including research, prototyping, and testing.

What is included?

In addition to funding, recipients will gain access to The Station and benefit from connections to researchers, labs, mentors, and industry partners. The program also includes UX/UI and customer research coaching, plus integration into EPFL’s vibrant startup community and events.

Application timeline:

All submissions will be reviewed by a jury. Applications close on Friday, July 18, 2025.
A shortlist of eight projects will be announced on Friday, August 23, with pitch sessions held during the week of August 25. The final selection of four grant recipients will be communicated on Friday, August 29.
