A total budget of maximum CHF 20 million is available.
Scope of the call:
The call targets projects in:
- Quantum Communication (e.g. quantum key distribution, quantum repeaters)
- Quantum Computation (e.g. processors, architecture, error correction)
- Quantum Simulation (e.g. simulators, entangled materials)
- Quantum Sensing & Metrology (e.g. sensing platforms, quantum clocks)
Project Composition:
- Applicants: BRIDGE Quantum proposals can be either submitted by a single applicant or a consortium consisting of a maximum of 5 applicants.
- Partners: Proposal can include project partners (research support) and implementation partners (industry). Implementation partners are not eligible to receive financial support within the scope of BRIDGE.
- Strong emphasis on collaboration and complementary expertise

- Additional criteria – Favors interdisciplinary collaboration, diversity, sustainability, and industry-academia networking:
Tips
- The inclusion of key partners for the implementation and practical application, especially of industry partners, is a positive asset.
- Cooperation between universities, federal institutes of technology, research institutions, universities of applied sciences (UAS) and universities of teacher education (UTE) is also positively regarded.
Submission & Resubmission:
- Applicants must directly submit a full proposal on mysnf.ch.
- This is a one-time thematic call; rejected proposals may be revised and submitted to future BRIDGE Discovery calls
