DESCRIPTION:Séverin Lemaignan. is currently post-doctoral fellow at LAAS-
CNRS\, Toulouse\, France. He recently defended his PhD thesis on knowledge
management for human-robot interaction. He also obtained in 2006 a master
degree in computing systems for education from University Paris 5. As a s
ide activity\, he leads the development of pedagogical tools in robotics a
t non-profit organisation Planete Sciences.\nThe seminar will present some
recent advancements at LAAS-CNRS in robotic cognition for human-robot int
eraction. We will present how robots can build amodal models of their huma
n-like environment supporting several cognitive processes required by auto
nomous service robots\, like mutual task planning\, perspective taking\, n
atural dialogue grounding. In particular\, we will detail our approach reg
arding symbol grounding with ontologies\, and how this is used to implemen
t a simple theory of mind in robots.
