DESCRIPTION:The CHIST-ERA ERA-NET is a pathfinder programme for European c
 oordinated research on future and emerging information and communication t
 echnologies. The consortium is supported by Horizon Europe.\n\nThe funding
  organisations (incl. SNSF for Switzerland) jointly support high risk and 
 high impact research projects selected in the framework of CHIST-ERA\, in 
 order to reinforce European capabilities in promising new or emerging ICT 
 or ICT related research topics.\n\nThe 2021 Call promotes two separate top
 ics\, namely:\n \n\n	Nano-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems for ICT (NOEMS)
  \n\n \n\n\n	Foundations for Misbehaviour Detection and Mitigation Strate
 gies in Online Social Networks and Media (OSNEM) \n\n\nApplications should
  follow and address the SNSF policies on open access and open data. Find h
 ere more information about the Open Science policy of CHIST-ERA.\n\nWho ca
 n apply: \n\n\n	International consortia composed of researchers from at le
 ast 3 different participating countries. Consortia are encouraged to inclu
 de partners from enlargement countries or non-EU countries participating i
 n European research programmes. Additional partners from other countries m
 ay be part of a consortium if they can secure their own funding. The stand
 ard consortium size is 3-6 partners.\n\n\n\n	Swiss-based applicants: all S
 wiss applicants must be eligible for SNSF Project Funding (see EPFL Instru
 ctions for SNSF Project Funding). Please contact research@epfl.ch to verif
 y your eligibility for the call.\n\n\nLook for partners using the Partner 
 Search Tool. \n\nFor Swiss-based applicants and co-applicants: \n\n\n	In c
 ase of several overlapping SNSF projects\, all projects must be thematical
 ly different.\n	Swiss applicants may participate in at most one CHIST-ERA 
 proposal.\n	The SNSF exclusively funds research conducted for purposes tha
 t are not directly commercial.\n\n\nFunding:\n\n\n	Depends on the country-
 specific regulations (each partner is funded separately by the national/re
 gional funding).\n	The SNSF has allocated CHF 1M for 3-5 projects for this
  call. For EPFL applicants: use the Budget Calculator available in the EPF
 L Toolkit for SNSF Project Funding.\n	At most 60% of the total requested f
 unding may be requested by partners from one country.\n\n\nTimeline of the
  call:\n\n\n	Deadline for proposal submission: 17 January 2022 at 17:00 CE
 T\n	Notification of acceptance proposals: June 2022\n	Earliest start of th
 e project: October 2022\n\n\nNote: Swiss-based applicants must submit prop
 osals via mySNF. Prior contact with SNSF is highly recommended if PI has n
