DESCRIPTION:Prof. Anja Fröhlich (AFF Architekten Berlin\, EPFL)\, Annika
 Seifert (APC\, HSLU)\, Meritxell Vaquer (Bosshard Vaquer\, ZHAW)\nCRITICAL
MASS - ENCLOSING LANDSCAPES\n\nThis semester Studio EAST has been working
on mineral materials under the title CRITICAL MASS.\n\nAfter focusing on
the interaction between form and material\, students have been asked to in
tegrate a given landscape in the narrative of their project by enclosing a
fragment of it by a wall. The built does not exist detached from its surr
ounding landscape\, and they grow and erect out of the same ground - there
fore they are mutually dependent. Just Like the built\, landscape consists
of spaces. Spaces which are socially produced or constructed\, which mate
rial and cultural value are clearly physically and intellectually percepti
ble. The narrative that leads to the form and type of enclosure is left op
en to the student\, and design actions have to be developed in order to ma
nifest a specific atmospheric space.\n\nThe projects will be presented and
exhibited on Wednesday 22.12.21 in the Archizoom exhibition room.\n\nThe
jury will be composed by Prof. Anja Fröhlich (AFF Architekten Berlin\, EP
FL)\, Annika Seifert (APC\, HSLU) and Meritxell Vaquer (Bosshard Vaquer\,
ZHAW) and critics will be given from 10:00 to 18:00.\n\n \n\n
