DESCRIPTION:Projects is the SNSF instrument for experienced researchers wo
 rking in Switzerland who wish to obtain funding for a project of their own
  in any discipline.\n\nWho can apply: \n\n	SNSF Projects can be held by on
 e or more applicants. Each applicant must individually meet the following 
 requirements:\n	PhD obtained at least 4 years prior to the application dea
 dline or 3 years of research work. This restriction does not apply to inde
 pendent researchers who can apply as soon as they get the said position. A
 ll applicants must be in a position to carry out research projects under t
 heir own responsibility and to lead project staff. Applicants must be empl
 oyed at least 50% at a research institution for the duration of the projec
 t or have been given assurance of such employment in writing.\n\n \nFundi
 ng and duration: min. CHF 50’000 (no upper limit) for 12-48 months.\n \
 nEligible costs: \n\n\n	personnel (scientific and technical staff\; exclud
 ing the PI’s salary)\, research costs\, equipment (for equipment costs h
 igher than CHF 100K in total\, an institutional co-financing of 50% must b
 e obtained and you need to contact research@epfl.ch 3 weeks prior to the d
 eadline!)\, subcontracting\, scientific cooperation\, networking and commu
 nication.\n	Costs for open access publications are not eligible and must b
 e requested separately (https://oa100.snf.ch/en/home-en/).\n	We would like
  to remind you that EPFL applies\, since 2018\, a flat rate salary scale o
 f CHF 50’040 per year for doctoral students funded by SNSF grants.\n	Use

 rojects with applicants based in selected countries:\n\n\n	SNSF Lead Agenc
 y: to participate in collaborative research with the State of Sao Paulo (B
 razil)\, South Africa and the Province of South Tyrol (Deadline: 1 April 2
 022) and France (Deadline: 1 April 2022).\n	SNSF Weave: to participate in 
 collaborative research with two or three European countries or regions in 
 Austria\, Belgium\, Croatia\, Czech Republic\, Germany\, Luxembourg\, Pola
 nd and Slovenia (Deadlines: 1 April and 1 October 2022).\n	International c
 o-investigator scheme: to fund foreign partners in collaborative projects 
 with Denmark\, Norway\, Sweden\, UK and the Netherlands. Deadlines: 1 Apri
 l and 1 October 2022.\n\n\nThe SNSF offers other instruments for collabora
 tive projects: \n\n\n	SNSF Sinergia: for interdisciplinary collaborative r
 esearch in any disciplines. Deadlines: 1 June\, 1 December.\n	SNSF Spirit:
  for collaborative research in any disciplines with countries receiving de
 velopment assistance. Deadline: 2 November.\n
