DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1903\, the Swiss Lung Association is a nationwide s
 ervice organization for the lungs and the respiratory tract. It consists o
 f 19 cantonal lung leagues coordinated by the Bern office. The Association
  does NOT support research in relation to the tobacco industry.   \n\nTh
 e Swiss Lung Association supports research (including ongoing projects) re
 lated to lung health:\n\n	Pneumology (basic research\, experimental resear
 ch and clinical research).\n	Social medicine/science\, public health and h
 ealth economics.\n	Epidemiology: dissemination\, causes and effects of dis
 eases in populations.\n	Air pollution control and air quality.\n	Preventio
 n.\n\n\nWho can apply: \n\n\n	teams of independent researchers\, employed 
 at an institution in Switzerland.\n	you can’t apply if you already have 
 a running grant from the Swiss Lung Association.\n\n\nFunding & Duration: 
 \n\n\n	The budget range for a single grant usually is at CHF 40'000.- to 1
 80'000.-\n	Duration: max. 48 months\n\n\nFor what: Personnel (incl. salary
  of the principle investigator)\, Equipment\, Consumables\, Operations Cos
 ts (i.e Travel\, Printing etc.)\, other project-related expenses.\nDoes NO
 T cover: overheads\, facilities and administrative costs.\nDeadline: 11 Ma
 rch 2022\n\nEvaluation & Decision by the Research Committee: within 3-4 mo
 nths from the call deadline\n\nApplication: \n\n\n	create an account on th
