DESCRIPTION:The 'Network of European Funding for Neuroscience Research' (N
 EURON) aims at coordinating research efforts and funding programmes of its
  partner countries in the field of mental\, neurological and sensory disor
 ders.\n\nThe ERA-NET NEURON 2022 call aims to facilitate multinational\, c
 ollaborative research projects that will address important translational q
 uestions relating to the cerebrovascular diseases including small vessels 
 disease (CSVD) and brain barriers dysfunction.\n\nThe present call aims to
  fund preclinical and clinical research addressing the pathophysiology and
  therapeutic developments for stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases. R
 esearch areas may cover a broad range of aspects associated with cerebrova
 scular disease such as genetic\, epigenetic\, molecular mechanism of disea
 se.\n\nResearch proposals should cover at least one of the following areas
 :\n\n	Fundamental research addressing the pathogenesis\, aetiology\, progr
 ession\, treatment\, and prevention of cerebrovascular diseases including 
 CSVD as well as basic research to elucidate the role of brain barriers on 
 cerebrovascular diseases. This may include the development of innovative o
 r shared resources and technologies including computational and statistica
 l tools\, as considered of relevance in the context of this call.\n	Clinic
 al research to develop novel strategies for prevention (including secondar
 y prevention)\, diagnosis\, patient stratification\, therapy and/or rehabi
 litation for cerebrovascular diseases\n\n\nWho can apply: \n\n\n	Internati
 onal consortia composed from minimum 3 to maximum 5 researchers (including
  partners) from universities\, research institute\, hospitals\, foundation
 s and/or companies from at least 3 different participating countries. No m
 ore than two researchers can be from the same country. Partners from other
  countries may be part of a consortium if they can secure their own fundin
 g.\n\n\n\n	Swiss-based applicants: must be eligible for SNSF Project Fundi
 ng (see EPFL Instructions for SNSF Project Funding) and cannot participate
  in more than one proposal per call. Please contact research@epfl.ch to ve
 rify your eligibility for the call. Proposals with overlapping funding per
 iods with ongoing SNSF grants are only approved if the research projects p
 ursue different goals in the context of this programme. The SNSF exclusive
 ly funds research conducted for non-commercial purposes.\n\n\nDuration: ma
 x. 36 months. No-cost extensions can be granted if allowed by the country-
 specific regulations.\n\nFunding: depends on the country-specific regulati
 ons. The SNSF has allocated CHF 1 M for 3-4 projects for 12-36 months for 
 this call. The minimum financial request is CHF 50’000.\n\nTimeline of t
 he call:\n\n\n	Deadline for pre-proposals: 8 March 2022 at 14:00 CET\n	Swi
 ss applicants must submit pre-proposals and full proposals via mySNF at th
 e same deadline as the consortium applications are submitted to the Call S
 ecretariat via the electronic submission system.\n	Invitation to submit a 
 full proposal: mid-May 2022\n	Deadline for full proposals: 28 June 2022 at
