 nDescription\nAcademic mobility comes in two main flavours: accepting a re
 search position abroad\, and short-term travelling for collaborations\, me
 etings or fieldwork. Both can provide great opportunities as well as chall
 enges\, especially with children involved. Mobility can be an important fa
 ctor for success in an academic career\, and is nowadays even seen as an e
 ssential requirement in many cases. We will discuss opportunities\, challe
 nges and impact of academic mobility. Participants will receive informatio
 n and feedback on how to organize a move abroad and short-term travelling.
  They will be encouraged to selfreflect in order to make a grounded decisi
 on regarding mobility in their own lives.\n \nObjectives\n\n	Find creativ
 e solutions to balance private goals and your family situation with travel
  requirements\n	Understand opportunities\, challenges and impact of academ
 ic mobility\n	Have practical information on how to find a position abroad 
 and how to prepare for an international move\n	Have stronger basis to deci
 de on how mobile you want to be as scientists\n\n \nApproach\nTheoretical

 EGARD programme is addressed to young female academics of the next generat
 ion and for women professors of the universities of French-speaking Switze
 rland\, HES-SO and EPFL. The REGARD programme is organized by the gender e
 quality offices those institutions.  \nThe objective of the REGARD progra
 m is to develop skills and offer concrete tools for career management and 
 supervision. These workshops also create spaces for discussion and exchang
 e of experiences among researchers. They also aim to increase awareness of
  gender equality issues in academic careers.
