DESCRIPTION:The International Latsis Foundation\, a charitable organizatio
 n\, was established in 1975 by the Greek family Latsis in Geneva. The Foun
 dation currently awards four University Prizes\, worth CHF 25\,000.- each\
 , as well as a National and a European Latsis Prize of CHF 100\,000.- each
 .\n\nThe University Latsis Prize is awarded by the EPFL Awards Commission 
 on behalf of the Latsis Foundation. The purpose of this award is to distin
 guish scientific work of particular excellence from all EPFL research area
 s. The Prize is primarily meant to recognize postgraduate scientific contr
 ibutions made independently by junior scientists at EPFL. On rare occasion
 s\, it may also honor outstanding doctoral theses of high scientific impac
 t.\n\nEligibility Criteria\n\nPostdocs\, PATTs and SNSF Funded Professors 
 as well as Eccellenza Professorial Fellowship Grantees (tenured professors
  not eligible)\n\nResubmission limited (1 time only)\n\nCandidates can be 
 nominated by EPFL professors\, or they can apply directly to the EPFL Rese
 arch Office.\n\n\nThe age limit for candidates is 40 years. \n\nImportant
  deadlines:\n\n	Submission deadline: 1 March 2022 (16:00 CEST)\n	Interview
  for pre-selected candidates: 19 May 2022\n	Decision: Summer 2022\n\nAppli
 cations must be submitted via the online application platform.
