DESCRIPTION:The Helmut Horten Foundation supports projects that pursue inn
 ovative research with clinical significance\, primarily in the fields of o
 ncology and/or immunology. Purely clinical studies are not supported.\n\nT
 wo project categories are envisaged:\n\n	Project funding for young researc
 hers.\n	Funding of consortial projects.\n\n\nWho can apply: \n \n\n	Proje
 ct funding for young researchers: independent group leader\, employed at a
  Swiss University or Research Institute for the entire duration of the pro
 ject. The start of the project must occur no later than ten years after th
 e applicant has attained his/her highest academic degree.\n	Funding of con
 sortial projects: max. 5 independent group leaders at a Swiss University o
 r Research Institute. One lead applicant represents the consortium and is 
 responsible for the project. At least one applicant must be a physician sc
 ientist with respective clinical responsibility. Consortial projects are i
 nterdisciplinary. They combine clinical and basic scientific approaches to
  a matter of clinical importance. \n\n\nDuration: max. 3 years\n\nFunding
 : max. CHF 1 million per year for “consortial projects”. In general\, 
 the foundation covers the entire project and does not complement funding f
 rom other sources.\n\nDeadlines for short proposals:\n\n\n	15 February 202
 2 for consortial projects\n	15 March 2022 for young researchers\n\n\nInvit
 ation to submit a full proposal: within 4 weeks (upon invitation).\nDeadli
 ne to submit the full application: within two months from receipt of the i
 nvitation.\nDecision: within 2 months from the submission of the full prop
