DESCRIPTION:The State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation 
 (SERI) has commissioned ETHZ as Leading House for bilateral research colla
 boration with the National Research Foundation (NRF) of the Republic of Ko
 rea in all scientific disciplines.\n\nETHZ (as the Swiss Leading House) an
 d the NRF jointly fund the exchange of early career scientists between Sou
 th Korea and Switzerland. The call is expected to fund 9 fellowships from 
 each side.\n\nThe instrument funds 3-month research stays in any disciplin
 es:\n\n	In South Korea for Swiss-based researchers (apply via ETHZ).\n	In 
 Switzerland for Korean researchers (apply via NRF). \n\n\nWho can apply: 
 \n\n\n	Swiss-based applicants: Doctoral and early career postdoctoral stud
 ents from Swiss universities\, universities of applied sciences and public
  research institutes. With due justification\, Master’s students and pos
 tdocs are also eligible.\n	Host researcher in South Korea: must be full-ti
 me employed principal investigators at a university or research institute 
 in South Korea.\n	Applicants based in Japan\, who are interested in a rese
 arch stay in Switzerland\, must apply via NRF.\n	Applicants should be moti
 vated to spend part of their later scientific career abroad.\n\n\nWho cann
 ot apply:\n\n\n	Applicants with Korean nationality cannot be considered fo
 r stays in Korea.\n\n\nFunding:\n\n\n	Maintenance allowance: KRW 2’500
 ’000 a month for 3 months\n	International air ticket of max. KRW 2’500
 ’000.\n\n\nApplication:\n\n\n	Two-steps application process: application

  call guidelines).\n	NOTE: The application shall include a) Completed rese
 arch plan\, b) Supporting letter from the Swiss supervisor and c) Acceptan
 ce letter from the South Korean host supervisor.\n\n\nTimeline of the call
 :\n\n\n	Deadline: 20 March 2022\n	Decision: April-May 2022\n	Earliest star
