DESCRIPTION:The State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation 
 (SERI) has commissioned ETHZ as Leading House for bilateral research colla
 boration with the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in all scientific discip
 lines.\n\nETHZ and CSC run the China – Exchange of Young Researchers Pro
 gramme encourages follow-up activities between Chinese and Swiss partners 
 after symposia\, joint workshops or other initial joint activities. These 
 grants shall enable mid-term personnel exchanges that are a first step to 
 future more ambitious or more engaging joint research projects.\n\nIn part
 icular\, the China – Exchange of Young Researchers Programme allows Swis
 s senior researchers to host young Chinese scholars in Switzerland for 6-2
 4 months.\n\nThe call is open to all scientific disciplines.\n\nWho can ap
 ply:\n\n	the Swiss Main Applicant must be a senior researcher holding a pe
 rmanent position at an eligible Swiss institution. Note: The Chinese and S
 wiss partners must have set up initial contacts during a symposium\, works
 hop\, for a publication\, the submission of a joint research proposal or a
 like.\n	The young scholar must be PhD students or post-doctoral researcher
 s registered/employed at an eligible institution in China.\n\n\nFunding: T
 he CSC will provide a scholarship in accordance to the regulations of the 
 Chinese government (CHF 2100 per month for PhD students and postdoctoral r
 esearchers including health insurance\, and a return international air far
 e to Switzerland). The Swiss side will top up the scholarship to CHF 2500 
 per month (for both PhD students and postdocs). If the visiting scholars (
 academic guests) receive employee status in the Swiss institute\, the Swis
 s side will pay for social costs (AHV\, etc.) up to CHF 250 per month in a
 ddition.\nDuration: 6-24 months\n\nDeadline: 31 March 2022\n\n\n	Applicati
 ons must be submitted in parallel by the Swiss Main Applicant to ETHZ and 
 by the Chinese applicant to CSC (https://www.csc.edu.cn/).\n\n\nFor furthe
