CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:The ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) Program consists of 5
measures to foster and improve ORD practices with the broader aim of advan
cing Open Science among ETH Domain researchers and institutions. The overa
ll aim of the first measure of the ETH-Domain’s ORD Program is to suppor
t researchers engaging in or developing ORD practices with and for their c
ommunity(-ies) and to assist these researchers in becoming Open Science le
aders in their field(s).\n\nWhat:\n\nThe ETH Domain is launching two calls
for applications.\n\nContribute projects \n\nFunding for “contribute pr
ojects” aims at contributing to a piece of software\, data\, hardware\,
etc.\, which simplifies an established ORD practice\, develops its researc
h potential\, or otherwise improves it\; curating or otherwise improving a
vailable ORD. For example\, by updating existing data to adapt it to the e
volution of ORD practices or providing community services\, such as the or
ganization of a workshop or training\, or coordination for the development
of an ORD standard.\n\nFunding is available for 12-month projects with an
overall budget that must not exceed CHF 30’000.\n\nExplore projects \n\
nFunding for “explore projects” aims at exploring/prototyping/building
up ORD practices\, which could foster and improve research capabilities a
nd support research communities.\nThese projects should pave the way\, ins
ide\, across and outside the ETH-Domain\, for ORD practices sustainable in
the future and with potential to be extensively adopted in many research
and societal communities.\n\nFunding is available for up to 18-month proje
cts with an overall budget that must not exceed CHF 150’000.\n\nIn both
calls\, applications can be received from the six ETH Domain institutions:
  EPFL\, ETHZ\, PSI\, WSL\, Empa\, Eawag.\n\nEligibility requirements and b
udget information can be found on the ETH-Domain’s ORD Program webpage.\
n\nHow to apply: online application platform.\n\nDeadlines:\n\n	Contribute
  projects: 1 April 2022 (17:00 CEST)\n	Explore projects: 14 April 2022 (17
:00 CEST)\n\nMore details: please visit the ETH-Domain’s Open Research D
