 l as local start-ups and universities\nThe scientific symposium ‘Faces o
 f Industrial Research-FIR’ is organized by the Nestlé PhD students in c
 ollaboration with BSNL\, an EPFL/UNIL non-profit organization that aims to
  bridge the gap between upcoming academic scientists and those in Life Sci
 ence industries.\nThis symposium will take place in Forum Rolex\, EPFL on
  March 28th\, 2022.\n \nThe goal of this symposium is to provide insight 
 into fundamental and translational research done in Life Science and Heal
 th care companies based in Switzerland. It will also allow future scientis
 ts to discover what industry can offer in terms of scientific projects as 
 well as opportunities for young scientists. Furthermore\, this event wants
  to create awareness and acknowledgment of existing industrial programs fo
 r MSc’s\, PhDs\, and PostDocs.\n \nDuring the event\, scientists and po
 stdocs currently employed by Nestlé\, Novartis\, Roche\, Debiopharm\, Les
 affre\, Haya Thereapeutics and Lonza\, as well as local start-ups and univ
 ersities\, will showcase their scientific projects by giving short talks
 .\nMoreover\, senior scientists will present their career paths\, emphasiz
 ing how they transitioned from academia to industry.
