 in”\n\nClaudia Clopath is an internationally renowned neuroscientist. Sh
 e joined Imperial College London in 2013 where she heads up her own labora
 tory\, the Computational Neuroscience Laboratory. Her goal: to understand 
 the brain’s learning mechanisms and where our memories are stored.\n\nHe
 r work has many potential applications\, such as better understanding and 
 treating Alzheimer's disease. Since 2015\, her lab has also been working w
 ith DeepMind\, the Google-owned company that is exploring artificial intel
 ligence\, focusing on continual learning.\n\nClaudia Clopath obtained her 
 Master in Physics and her PhD in Computer Science at EPFL. She received an
  Alumni Award from the School in 2021 for her exceptional career and resea
