 About the speaker\nGarnet Chan is the Bren Professor of Chemistry at Cal
 tech. Prior to this he held appointments at Princeton and Cornell Universi
 ty\, and was educated at Cambridge University and UC Berkeley. He is inter
 ested in the theory and simulation of many-particle systems\, especially q
 uantum ones. \n\n
