CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:The ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) Program consists of 5
measures to foster and improve ORD practices with the broader aim of advan
cing Open Science among ETH Domain researchers and institutions. The overa
ll aim of the first measure of the ETH-Domain’s ORD Program is to suppor
t researchers engaging in or developing ORD practices with and for their c
ommunity(-ies) and to assist these researchers in becoming Open Science le
aders in their field(s). The calls for proposals are organized along three
different tracks: Contribute\, Explore and Establish projects. Contribute
and Explore calls have been launched recently.\n\nWhat: The ETH Domain is
now launching a call for pre-proposals for Establish projects\n\nFunding
for “Establish projects” aims at putting the resources to fully establ
ish promising ORD practices\, once their scientific value is demonstrated
and they have attracted sizable and international communities. These proje
cts should bring their infrastructures\, community management and scientif
ic vision to the next level and further grow their community(-ies).\nNotic
e that these projects must be focused on ORD practices and not on the serv
ices & infrastructures (S&I)\, which they rely upon.\n\nSelected applicant
s will be invited to submit a full proposal.\n\nFunding is available for p
rojects with a duration of up to 36-months with an overall budget that mus
t not exceed CHF 1.5 million.\n\nPre-proposals can be received from the si
 x ETH Domain institutions: EPFL\, ETHZ\, PSI\, WSL\, Empa\, Eawag.\n\nGuid
elines for the pre-proposal can be found here\n\nHow to apply: online appl
 ication platform.\n\nDeadline: 1 May 2022 (17:00 CEST)\n\nMore details: pl
ease visit the ETH-Domain’s Open Research Data (ORD) Program webpage or
