DESCRIPTION:The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) carries 
 out programs that provide excellent researchers from other countries an op
 portunity to conduct collaborative research\, discussions\, and opinion ex
 changes with researchers in Japan.  These programs are intended to help a
 dvance the overseas researchers' research activities while advancing scien
 ce and promoting internationalization in Japan.\n\nAll fields of the human
 ities\, social sciences and natural sciences are included.\n\nAVAILABLE FU
 NDING\n\nJSPS has a few Postdoctoral Fellowship Categories.  This call is
  for the Short-term [S]. See page 18 on PDF Application guidelines that ca
 n be found on the website.\nThis is for a short-term visit to Japan with a
  duration of 14 to 60 days\n\n	Airfare:  A roundtrip air ticket (economy-
 class) (based on JSPS's regulations)\n	Maintenance Allowance: ¥ 18\,000 p
 er day\n	Overseas travel insurance\n	Research support allowance: Up to ¥1
 50\,000 (application is made by the Host Researcher applicant through his/
 her institution)\n\nDEADLINE: 06 May 2022\n\nDuration: 14 to 60 days\n\nRe
 quirements\n\nThe eligibility of the Host Institution is delineated in sec
 tion 4 of the PDF Application Guidelines available on-line.\nThe eligibili
 ty of the Candidate (Invited Overseas Researcher) eligibility is as follow
 s:\n\n\n	Persons are eligible to apply who satisfy the following two condi
 tions from 01 April 2022 and during the fellowship period.\n	Be a citizen 
 or a permanent resident of a country that has diplomatic relations with Ja
 pan.  Persons of Japanese nationality are eligible to apply if they have 
 resided at the time of application in a foreign country for 10 years are l
 onger and are judged to have played an active role at the host research in
 stitution in that country's scientifc community.\n	Be a full-time research
 er or person with full-time researcher status at a university or research 
 institution in a foreign country and have a position equivalent to a profe
 ssor\, associate professor or assistant professor in Japan (including posi
 tions such as professor emeritus). Researchers of other status may apply i
 f it has been six years or longer since they obtained their doctora degree
  and the host research institution judges them to have continuously conduc
 t research at a university or research institution.\n\nHow to Apply:\n\nTh
