DESCRIPTION:This program supports biomarkers research that will develop\, 
 optimize or analytically validate new or existing outcome measures to dire
 ctly inform and transform therapeutic development.\n\nThe main focus of th
 is RFA is on molecular bioassays which have the potential to directly serv
 e clinical trials. Biomarker work as a tool to understand the role of a pa
 rticular pathway in PD without a clear link to therapeutics will not be co
 nsidered.\n\nFunding: max. $300\,000\n\nDuration: 12-24 months\n\nEligibil
 ity: Applications may be submitted by researchers or clinicians in:\n\n	U.
 S. and non-U.S. biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies\, or other publicly
  or privately held for-profit entities\; and\n	 \n	U.S. and non-U.S. publ
 ic and private non-profit entities\, such as universities\, colleges\, hos
 pitals\, laboratories\, units of state and local governments and eligible 
 agencies of the federal government.\n	 \n	Post-doctoral fellows are eligi
 ble to apply as co-investigators with the designation of an administrative
  primary investigator who directs the laboratory in which the fellow will 
 conduct research.\n\n\nHow to Apply: The two-stage application process beg
 ins with a pre-proposal\, which is due by 26 April. Instructions for submi
 tting pre-proposals can be found here. Selected applicants will be notifie
 d the week of 06 June\, and may submit a full proposal by 11 August. Budge
