DESCRIPTION:Thanks to an annual contribution of CHF 250’000 by the Käth
 e Zingg-Schwichtenberg (KZS) Fund\, the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences 
 (SAMS) supports research projects by junior researchers in biomedical ethi
 cs.\n\nThe 2022 call supports empirical or theoretical research projects i
 nvestigating the «Moral distress among the healthcare workforce» from a 
 clinical ethics and/or public health ethics perspective.\n\nSupported proj
 ects must help to understand how the experience of the pandemic has change
 d – and is still changing – perceptions and assessments of equity and 
 distribution debates in the event of resource scarcity. Projects must be o
 f relevance to Switzerland and be in the planning stage\; funding will NOT
  be provided for ongoing projects.\n\nWho can apply: \n\n	Doctoral and pos
 tdoctoral\, non-tenured researchers\, aiming at an academic career in the 
 field of biomedical ethics and active at a research institution in Switzer
 land by the time of the submission deadline and for the intended duration 
 of the grant.\n\n\nFunding: \n\n\n	Max. CHF 250K. No minimum amount\n	Elig
 ible costs: project-related costs and a portion of the PI’s salary.\n\n\
 nDuration: \n\n\n	Max. 24 months. Longer duration upon request.\n\n\nDeadl
