DESCRIPTION:DE-FOA-0002636: FY22 BETO Waste Feedstocks and Conversion R&D\
n\nAIM: This FOA supports two priority areas in the Bioenergy Technologies
Office (BETO) research and development (R&D) portfolio. The first of thes
e priority areas addresses new strategies for energy and resource recovery
from waste streams\, waste streams including municipal solid waste\, anim
al manure\, wastewater residuals and other organic wastes. The second prio
rity area addressed by this FOA targets improved organisms and inorganic c
atalysts.\n\nAreas of Interest :\n\n	Topic Area 1: Municipal solid waste (
MSW) feedstock technologies\n	1a: Advanced MSW Preprocessing for Conversio
 n-ready Feedstocks\n	1b: High Value Co-product Development from MSW\n	 \n
Topic Area 2: Robust Microbial Cells\n	2a: Overcoming and understanding b
 atch-to-batch and cell-to-cell variability\n	2b: Improving the longevity o
 f microbial production\n	 \n	Topic Area 3: Robust Catalytic Processes\n
\n	Topic Area 4: Community Scale Resource and Energy Recovery from Organ
 ic Wastes\n	4a: Feasibility Development\n	4b: Feasibility Development and
Technology Testing\n\n\nDEADLINE:\n\n\n	Required Concept Papers: April 18\
 , 2022\n	Full Applications: June 7\, 2022\n\n\nELIGIBILITY: EPFL researche
rs are eligible to participate as subawardee or as a prime (areas 1\, 2 an
d 3) if a waiver is granted.\n\nContact the Research Office for assistance
with requesting a waiver.\n\nHOW TO APPLY: Get in touch with potential pa
rtners in the U.S for collaborative projects or contact the Research Offic
e.\n\nFOR FURTHER INFORMATION: Please refer to the FOA - DE-FOA-0002636 an
d additional documents (question and answer log + FPA webinar slides) at t
he same address). Feel free to contact the Research Office for any assista
 nce.
