DESCRIPTION:The State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation 
 (SERI) has mandated the University of St.Gallen (HSG) as Leading House for
  bilateral collaboration with partner institutions in Latin America.  In 
 2022\, the Leading House for the Latin American Region (LH) opened a call 
 for proposals for Consolidation Grants.\n\nThe current call for Consolidat
 ion Grants 2022 aims to promote mono- or interdisciplinary projects and in
 volve bilateral or multilateral partnerships with Latin American countries
 . Researchers of all disciplines are invited to apply.\n\nProject proposal
 s should ensure a direct transfer to society\, benefiting local communitie
 s and building capacity. Researchers also must present socially\, cultural
 ly\, or technically innovative projects\, fostering resilience.\n\nThe Con
 solidation Grant (COG) aims to encourage more advanced\, solid projects fi
 lling in the gap between smaller instruments and bigger calls (e.g.\, SNSF
 \, SNIS\, ERC). It promotes sustainable\, longer-term research cooperation
  between Swiss and Latin American scholars to produce accountable scientif
 ic outcomes in domains that have been identified as priorities by both Lat
 in American and Swiss institutions.\n\nWho can apply: \n\n	Each proposal m
 ust have one principal applicant based in Switzerland and one in Latin Ame
 rica\n	Postdoctoral scientist\, senior scientist and professor of Swiss fe
 deral and cantonal universities\, universities of applied sciences\, unive
 rsities of teacher education\, as well as public research institutions.\n	
 The Swiss PI must be employed at one of the aforementioned Swiss instituti
 ons (minimum of 40%).\n	The Principal Investigator in Latin America (Latin
  American PI) must be affiliated to an accredited university or a public r
 esearch institute and must hold a faculty or scientist position or a docto
 ral degree besides bringing along several years of research experience.\n	
 Co-investigators based in Switzerland and Latin America can also participa
 te as team members\, including MA and PhD students.\n\n\nFunding: up to CH
 F 50’000\n\nDuration: up to 18 months within a two-year time window (Feb
 ruary 2023 – January 2025)\n\nEligible costs: travel\, accommodation cos
 ts\, project consumables and equipment\, outsourcing. Does NOT cover resea
 rch projects\, salaries or scientific exchanges.\n\nCall timeline:\n\n\n	A
 pplication deadline: 31 July 2022\n	Decision: 9 December 2022\n	Earliest p
