DESCRIPTION:AIM: The DOE SC program in Advanced Scientific Computing Resea
 rch (ASCR) hereby announces its interest in basic research in computer sci
 ence exploring innovative approaches to the management and storage of scie
 ntific data.\n\nPRIORITY RESEARCH DIRECTIONS\nImportant priority research 
 directions are:\n\n	High-productivity interfaces for accessing scientific 
 data efficiently\n	Understanding the behavior of complex data management s
 ystems in DOE science\n	Rich metadata and provenance collection\, manageme
 nt\, search\, and access\n	Reinventing data services for new applications\
 , devices\, and architectures\n\nDEADLINE: A pre-application (two pages) i
 s required and must be submitted by May 5\, 2022 at 5:00 PM ET. Submission
