 lace Ada Lovelace\, EPFL \n\nThis event focuses on urban spaces as produc
 tive places through the reintroduction of food production and the encourag
 ement of short circuits. The discussion focuses on a nourishing urbanism c
 ombining the approaches of urbanism and agriculture. \n\nIn Switzerland\,
  the legal distinction between building zones and agricultural zones is ex
 tremely strict. As a result\, the urban environment is mostly characterize
 d by non-professional agricultural initiatives\, while the rural environme
 nt with its highly regulated soil is exclusively worked by professionals. 
 The observation of the division of roles and cultivated spaces also implie
 s asking the question of the “city/landscape” dichotomy and invites us
  to turn towards alternative practices\, in which food and its production 
 play a central role. \n\nBased on the presentation of the book Food Urban
 ism by Craig Verzone and Cristina Woods\, participants will be invited to 
 share their experiences and expertise on urban agriculture in a Round Tabl
 e. While the book presents typologies\, strategies and case studies of ur
 ban agriculture planning\, the roundtable aims to open up different perspe
 ctives and practices from several disciplines. \n\nThroughout the discuss
 ions\, we invite you to prepare and taste local products.\n\n\nThe guests
