DESCRIPTION:Aim:  In 2022\, Merck is offering a series of research grants
  to stimulate innovative research in challenging areas of future importanc
 e.  Grants are available in the following areas of interest:\n \n\n	Drug
  Discovery\n	AI for predictive diagnostics & therapeutic target discovery\
 n	Chemistry in the cloud – Rapid synthesis through automation\n	Innovati
 on within green chemistry\n	Sustainability in healthcare R&D\n\n\nFor more
  information on the various topic areas\, see here.\n\nFunding: up to 500\
 ,000 EUR/year (depending on topic area)\n\nDuration: 1-3 years (depending 
 on topic area)\n\nEligibility: The Merck research grants program is open 
 to scientists in all career stages who are affiliated with any research-ba
 sed institution\, university or company. You may apply for more than one g
 rant or submit your application for more than one focus topic.\n\nHow to A
 pply: In a first step\, applicants submit a brief project description cont
 aining non-confidential information only. If your application is successfu
 l\, you will be invited to submit a full proposal under confidentiality an
 d join a deep-dive workshop with the other finalists. All applicants will 
 be informed about the decision of the selection committee at the beginning
  of October. Any questions about confidentiality and disclosure during ei
