DESCRIPTION:Bauen im Bestand is what every intervention in the built envir
 onment does\, wittingly or unwittingly. The question is therefore not whe
 ther one builds in context but rather how. In this sense\,each interventio
 n is part of a larger project that unfolds over time and can help structu
 re the future of the community\, city\, or territory. Building with the ex
 isting can be subtle improvements or radical projects—tabula rasa does 
 not exist and stands in stark contrast to meaningful change.\n\nThe secon
 d annual "colloquium" of the Stiftung Baukultur Schweiz: BUILDING CULTURE 
 IN THE EXISTING\, will take place on 23 and 24 November 2022 in the EPFL F
 orum Rolex and Plateforme 10\, Lausanne.  \n\n\nRegistration and programm
 e will be online from the end of August 2022.\n\nFree tickets will be give
 n to support the young professionals and especially to encourage participa
 tion from all regions of the country.
