DESCRIPTION:Speaker list\nAbout\n\nMore than a century since pathological
protein aggregates were first identified in the brain of patients with neu
rodegenerative diseases (NDDs) and we still do not have effective therapie
s to treat or slow the progression of NDDs or diagnostics for early detect
ion and monitoring disease progression.\n\nRecent findings are challenging
traditional views about the composition\, ultrastructural properties\, an
d heterogeneity of protein pathologies in the brain\, their mechanisms of
formation and their and how we investigate and model pathological aggregat
ion processes associated with NDs in the laboratory today.\n\nThe primary
objective of this symposium is to gather leading scientists from different
disciplines to discuss and debate the latest findings\, share the latest
advances from their group\, and brainstorm collectively about how to lever
age and integrate the latest conceptual and technical advances in imaging
and image analyses to address current knowledge and technological gaps and
advance translational research in NDDs.\n\nSessions include:\n\nSeptember
1st\n\n	Opening session\n	Plenary Lecture: Deconstructing and Reconstruc
ting the Complexity of Proteinopathies\n	Deconstructing and Reconstructing
the Complexity of Proteinopathies\n	The structural landscape of pathologi
cal aggregates\n	New tools and approaches to capture the molecular diversi
ty of pathological aggregates and elucidate their role in disease pathogen
 esis\n	Panel discussions\n	Poster sessions\n	Dinner\n\n\nSeptember 2nd\n\n
\n	Plenary Lecture: Structure-based discovery of small-molecules that dis
assemble tau fibrils of Alzheimer's disease\n	Progress towards developing
PET imaging tracers\n	Reverse Engineering the pathology of neurodegenerati

ar\, and structural determinants of pathology formation in neurodegenerati
 ve diseases\n	Panel discussions\n	Poster sessions\n	Closing session\n
