DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) invi
 tes exceptional early-career researchers from across the natural\, biomedi
 cal and social sciences and the humanities to join one of our interdiscipl
 inary research programs that address some of the most important questions 
 facing science and humanity. The CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars program acc
 elerates the development of the next generation of research leaders and po
 sitions them to heighten their impact in academia and beyond.\n\nScholars
 ’ research interests must be aligned with the themes of an eligible CIFA
 R research program. In 2022\, the eligible programs are:\n \n\n	Boundarie
 s\, Membership & Belonging\n	Brain\, Mind & Consciousness\n	Earth 4D: Subs
 urface Science & Exploration\n	Fungal Kingdom: Threats & Opportunities\n	I
 nnovation\, Equity & the Future of Prosperity\n\n\nGlobal Scholars remain 
 at their home institution and country throughout their two-year term. The 
 research funding associated with the award is administered through the rec
 ipient’s institutional department.\n\nFunding:       CAD $100\,000\
 n\nDuration:      2 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants must hold a PhD a
 nd be within the first five years of a full-time academic position (i.e.\,
  an appointment beginning no earlier than 01 July 2018 and not later than 
 01 July 2023). Must be able to demonstrate an outstanding level of researc
 h achievement and promise of future impact in their field. Postdoctoral fe
 llows are NOT eligible to apply to this program.\n\nHow to Apply: Applicat
 ions are made through an online application system\, and include a Summary
  section\, a Detailed section\, and two to three Letters of Reference. Not
 e that the letters of reference must be submitted independently on the pla
 tform by the referees\, and are also due by the application deadline. Shor
 tlisted candidates will be invited to attend a three-day virtual selection
  meeting on 22-24 March 2023\; final results will be communicated no later
