 d senior roles in oncology and research throughout his career in Switzerla
 nd and the USA. His research focus examines the interaction of immune cell
 s and leukemia and cancer cells. The main research focus is to analyze so-
 called cancer/leukemia stem cells. These cells are the origin of the disea
 se and are responsible for relapse after successful chemotherapy. The aim 
 of his research is to develop improved immunotherapies for different types
  of cancer. The studies are performed in pre-clinical mouse models and usi
 ng primary patient material and humanized mouse models. Therefore\, studie
 s generate broad understanding of translational research from animal studi
 es to clinical application. Focus areas are :  ImmunOncology\, Lung & tho
 racic tumours\, Neuroendocrine tumours and Neurooncology.\n\nProf. Dr. med
