DESCRIPTION:The Swiss Polar Institute (SPI) was created to provide service
s to and promote synergies within the polar community in Switzerland.\n\nW
ith Technogrants\, SPI supports Swiss groups developing technologies relev
ant for research in polar regions (and other extreme environments such as
remote high-altitude regions). Technogrants can also serve the improvement
and adaptation of technologies to extreme environments\, or support new t
echnological developments to be used in the field for polar or remote high
-altitude research.\n\nIn 2022\, SPI has dedicated a total budget of CHF 1
50’000.- to fund technology development relevant for polar science\, the
Arctic and Antarctic\, according to the SPI’s high latitude focus.\n\nW
ho can apply:\n \n\n	The grants are open from Master’s students to seni
or researchers based at a Swiss public research institution.\n	Application

public research institution.\n\n\nFunding: maximum CHF 75’000.-. The gra

 er funding schemes (e.g. SNSF\, EU\, etc.).\n\nEligible costs:\n\n\n	All c

n the extreme environments of polar or remote high-altitude regions in whi
ch it is supposed to operate)\, upgrading and adjusting of science support
technologies in a broad sense.\n	Travel and logistics costs for field tes
ting purposes. The SPI also considers the offset of carbon emissions as an
eligible cost\, if not an option offered by the institution of affiliatio
