 s Joanny \nChristoph Dellago\nMatthew Tirrell\nEmanuela Del Gado\nThe Ber
ni J. Alder CECAM prize is the most prestigious international prize in the
broad domain of simulation and modelling.\nIt is awarded every three year
s to one or more individuals who have made exceptional contributions to th
e field.\nNominations are made by the community and a committee of peers s
elects the awardee.\n \nThe Berni J. Alder CECAM prize 2022 was awarded t
o Prof. Dr. Kurt Kremer\, Max Plank Institute for Polymer Research\, for o
utstanding contributions to microscopic simulation of polymers\, and\, mor
e broadly\, to soft matter.\n\nThe award ceremony will be held on November
9 at CECAM Headquarters in EPFL (Batochime building\, room BCH2103) as th
e opening of a mini symposium to reflect on state-of-the art\, challenges
and opportunities in the broad area of soft matter simulations.\nJoin us\,
in person or on-line\, for this happy occasion!\n\nProgram of the mini sy
mposium:\n\n	14:10 Award Ceremony and keynote presentation: Polymer / soft
