DESCRIPTION:The 3rd call of the HAC programme was launched on 17 October 2
 022 with a deadline for applications on 18 January 2023 (17:00 CEST)\n\nTh
e challenges faced by humanitarian organizations in general and by the Int
ernational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in particular are immense. In
2022\, according to UNHCR\, more than 100 million people were displaced b
ecause of conflict and insecurity\, a number not reached since WWII. Extre
me climate events\, such as floods\, storms and droughts\, are on the rise
\, thereby increasing the vulnerability of people already suffering from c
onflict1. The COVID19 pandemic further jeopardized the hard-fought gains i
n access to healthcare and poverty reduction of the past decades.\n\nThe g
oal of the Science and Technology for Humanitarian Action Challenges is to
support project-based research between EPFL researchers\, ETH Zurich rese
archers\, and the ICRC to develop effective solutions for a greater impact
of humanitarian action. To answer all your questions and help in your sub
mission process\, a webinar is organized by ETHZ.\n\nDate: Wednesday 23 No
