 d on December 7\, 2022\, at the Energypolis in Sion\, Switzerland. \n  
 \nWhat if we can heat and cool our future cities with CO2? Turning this id
 ea a reality\, the HES-SO Valais/Wallis\, the EPFL\, ExerGo\, Zero-C and O
 IKEN have built the world's first thermal network using CO2 in Sion. The p
 roject is supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (Pilot and Demon
 stration Programme).\nUsing CO2 instead of water as a working fluid\, the 
 network is up to nine times denser and more efficient and can save up to 8
 0% in primary energy compared to fossil fuel-based systems. Harnessing ren
 ewable resources and waste heat\, the network is unlocking synergies betwe
 en the environment\, users\, and suppliers in a smart\, circular thermal g
