DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The ADDF seeks to support studies of cognitive symptoms
  due to health conditions\, comparative effectiveness research\, and epide
 miological studies that probe whether the use or choice of drugs alters th
 e risk for dementia or cognitive decline.\n\nSpecifically\, the Prevention
  Pipeline RFP supports:\n\n	Studies of Cognitive Decline and Risk Reductio
 n\n	Comparative Effectiveness Research\n	Studies Leveraging the Consortium
  of Cohorts for Alzheimer's Prevention Action (CAPA)\n\n\nCurrent target a
 reas of interest include:\n\n	Epigenetics\n	Inflammation\n	Mitochondria & 
 metabolic function\n	Neuroprotection\n	Proteostasis\n	Synaptic activity an
 d neurotransmitters\n	Vascular function\n	Other mechanisms and modes of ac
 tion related to the biology of aging (e.g. senescent cells)\n	Other novel 
 targets or pathways that are supported by compelling evidence demonstratin
 g a rational biological connection to the disease process\n\n\nFunding:  
      max. $3M (clinical trials)\n\nDuration:      Multi-year\n\nEl
 igibility: Funding is open to researchers and clinicians worldwide at acad
 emic medical centers and universities or nonprofits.\n\nHow to Apply: Dead
 lines for proposal submissions occur three times per year. Applications ar
 e reviewed in a two-step process: Letters of Intent (LOIs) are the first s
 tep\, and should be submitted on the ADDF Funding Portal. ADDF’s science
  team will evaluate LOIs to determine whether the proposed project is cons
 istent with the ADDF's mission and funding priorities. LOI decisions will 
 be sent within three weeks of submission. Step 2 is an invited full propos
 al\, which should include a detailed project narrative\, budget and justif
 ication\, and biographical information.  When formulating the budget\, no
 te that the following costs are not covered: Indirect costs/Overhead\, Pub
 lication costs\, Equipment\, and Travel.\n\nWinter Deadlines:
