DESCRIPTION:Dr Javier Pagonabarraga\nAbstract:\nThe recreation of reality
works constantly\, second by second. All interoceptive and exteroceptive s
timuli ensemble together in a unified experience that depends not only on
the integration of multiple and newly incoming perceptions\, but also on t
he ability of our rationality to operate with them\, as well as on those m
otivational processes that redirect our body\, emotions\, and senses towar
ds ongoing temporal scenarios.\nThe study of the pathophysiological mechan
isms subserving the development of hallucinations\, progressive cognitive
impairment\, and apathy in people with Parkinson’s disease helps us to u
nderstand better which mind contents build in our self our identity\, and
how this process of self-identification is permanently or intermittently t
ransformed depending on the information connecting with the default mode n
 etwork circuits.
