DESCRIPTION:Aim:  LEO Foundation research grants are open competition gra
 nts given to support the best dermatology research projects worldwide. We 
 welcome applications for research projects that improve the understanding 
 of skin biology as well as the underlying medicinal\, biological\, chemica
 l\, or pharmacological mechanisms of dermatological diseases and their sym
 ptoms. We also welcome applications for projects that address clinical iss
 ues among people who are at risk of developing\, or have developed\, a ski
 n disease\, including how it impacts their quality of life and the societa
 l costs involved. Note that The LEO Foundation does not currently support 
 projects on skin cancer.\n\nFunding:       Project-dependent\; DKK 2
 -4 million recommended\n\nDuration:      Project-dependent\n\nEligibi
 lity: Any researcher who has obtained at least a PhD degree or equivalent 
 academic qualifications may apply. The applicant must be affiliated with a
  university\, hospital\, or other non-profit organization. The LEO Foundat
 ion welcomes applicants from anywhere in the world\n \nHow to Apply: The 
 application system LEOnora should be used to submit proposals. There you w
 ill be asked to enter applicant details\, project information\, project de
 tails\, project participants\, and requested budget. Each section of the P
 roject details has a strict character limit (see application guidelines fo
 r information). Budgets must be prepared in DKK. Eligible costs include pe
 rsonnel costs\, running costs\, equipment\, publication costs\, travel and
  conference expenses\, and overhead of 5%. Note: Do NOT disclose any confi
