DESCRIPTION:Aim: The challenges created by climate change can only be adeq
 uately addressed through international cooperation. The SNSF is acting on 
 this and joining a Canadian-led call.\n\nThe SNSF is joining the Internati
 onal Initiative for Research on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
   The initiative\, led by the Government of Canada and supported by resea
 rch funders from Brazil\, Germany\, Norway\, South Africa\, Switzerland\, 
 the United Kingdom\, and the United States\, will leverage international e
 xpertise to tackle global challenges caused by climate change and to furth
 er the design and implementation of co-producted adaptation and mitigation
  strategies for those groups most impacted by climate change.\nThis call i
 s aimed at funding transformative research that has the potential to deliv
 er game-changing impacts.  The Swiss contribution is set at 2.6 million 
 francs.\n\nAmount: \n\n	Swiss Partners: CHF 250\,000 per project\n	Other P

   February 2024\n\nDuration: \nProjects should be completed within 3 – 
 5 years.  One-year\, no cost extensions may be available.\n\nEligibility:
   Project teams are expected to include expertise across various discipli
 nes and sectors\, as appropriate\, including academia\, government\, not-f
 or-profit organisations\, communities and private industry.  The integrat
 ion of team members from vulnerable groups is also a requirement. \nThe c
 omposition of Project Teams includes:\n\n\n	Co-principal investigators fro
 m a minimum of 3 countries and must be eligible to receive funds from at l
 east two consortium partners\n	One co-PI must be eligible to apply to the 
 New Frontiers Research Fund (NFRF) Program\n	Interdisciplinary and trans-s
 ectoral teams\, including vulnerable groups\n	Individual participants may 
 participate as a co-PI on only one application to this competition\n\nHow 
 to Apply:\n\n\n	Application Requirements: All Swiss applicants must meet t
 he eligibility requirements of the SNSF.  The SNSF Funding Regulations\, 
 the General implementation regulations and the Regulations on Project Fund
 ing are applicable or applicable mutatis mutandis.  Private companies are
