DESCRIPTION:The Helmut Horten Foundation supports projects that pursue inn
 ovative research with clinical significance\, primarily in the fields of o
 ncology and/or immunology. Purely clinical studies are not supported.\n\nT
 wo project categories are envisaged:\n\n	Project funding for young researc
 hers.\n	Funding of consortial projects.\n\nWho can apply: \n \n\n	Project
  funding for young researchers: independent group leader\, employed at a S
 wiss University or Research Institute for the entire duration of the proje
 ct. The start of the project must occur no later than 15 years after the a
 pplicant has attained his/her highest academic degree.\n	Funding of consor
 tial projects: max. 5 independent group leaders at a Swiss University or R
 esearch Institute. One lead applicant represents the consortium and is res
 ponsible for the project. At least one applicant must be a physician scien
 tist with respective clinical responsibility. Consortial projects are inte
 rdisciplinary. They combine clinical and basic scientific approaches to a 
 matter of clinical importance. \n\n\nDuration: max. 3 years\n\nFunding: m
 ax. CHF 400'000 total for « young researchers »\; max CHF 1 million pe
 r year for “consortial projects”. In general\, the foundation covers t
 he entire project and does not complement funding from other sources.\n\nD
 eadlines for short proposals:\n\n\n	15 February 2023 for young researchers
