CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Association for Advancement of Research on Open Probl
ems in Nuclear Physics & Particle Physics (OPRA) seeks to fund researchers
who wish to investigate the discrepancies between existing theories and e
xperimental findings\, and the mathematical consistency of physical theori
es. Too often such findings do not receive the attention they deserve. Our
belief is that these findings may well be the basis for groundbreaking th
eories\, and therefore should get special attention to overpower the inert
ia of supporters of presently accepted theories and their instinctive tend
ency to marginalize such findings.\n\nOPRA funds research projects that fa
 ll within their funding areas\, which span:\n\n	Nuclear Physics\n	\n A pr
oblem in the photon-nucleon interaction\n The EMC effect Problem\n The s
imilarities between the nuclear and the molecular potential\n The tensor
 force in the Deuteron\n	\n	\n	Strong Interactions\n	\n Antiquarks in the
Proton\n Collision of polarized proton\n Isospin States of Mesons and Ba
ryons\n Model of Mesons\n Problems in Strange Hadrons\n The Neutron’s
Mean Square Charge Radius\n The Proton-Proton Cross Section\n		 The Pro
 ton Spin Crisis\n		 The Radial Density of the Proton’s Quarks\n	\n	\n	W
eak Interactions\n	\n Problem with the Electroweak Theory \n Flavor Gen
erations and the W\, Z Bosons\n		 Locality Problems of Massive Quantum Pa
rticles\n Parity violation in weak interactions\n Problems in the Electr
 oweak Gamma5 Factor\n	\n	\n\n\nFunding:       max. $210K ($70K/year)
 \n\nDuration:      max. 3 years\n\nEligibility: Researchers from loca
l and foreign Institutions are eligible to submit applications for grants.
The person submitting the Application must be in charge of the scientific
execution of the research. The applicants can be PhD students\, postdocto
ral fellows\, or established researchers. The proposed research must explo
re at least one of the topics given in the Funding Areas list.\n\nHow to A
pply: Applicants must first complete and submit the Application Form. The
form contains questions on personal details\, and requests a personal stat
ement\, research title\, and research description. The applicant should at
tach to this form approval letters from the Institute\, a suggested resear
ch budget\, previous publications\, selected peer publications and letters
of recommendation. The form and its attachments can be sent to this addr
ess. For assistance with the Institutional approval letter\, or for the In
stitutional signature on the Application form\, contact the Research Offic
 e.\n\nDeadline:      30 April 2023\n\nFurther information\n\n\n	More
information about the program is available here\n	Applications can be subm
itted by email to grants@oprassn.org\n	For any other questions\, please co
 ntact the Research Office\n\n\n
