to understand the impacts of design decisions\nIDEAS\n\nStephen WASILEWSK
I will be the speaker of the day and the title of his presentation is "Ch
aracterising daylight through simulation to understand the impacts of desi
gn decisions".\n\nThe axis Integrated Design\, Architecture and Sustainabi
lity (IDEAS) is a joint initiative of both the Interdisciplinary Laborator
y of Integrated Performance in Design (LIPID) and Laboratory of Architectu
re and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) of the ENAC School at EPFL. Later j
oined by the Structural Xploration Lab (SXL) and the Building2050 group\,
it aims to address an increased integration of the various issues related
to sustainable architecture within the framework of the Doctoral program A
rchitecture & Science of the city (EDAR). In parallel to the courses\, a n
etworking structure is created for the PhD students through informal meeti
ngs and regular thematic exchanges between PhD students\, laboratory membe
rs and guests ("IDEAS Lunches").\n\nA light lunch will be served during th
