DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is the largest n
 on-government\, donor-supported organization that distributes funds for ps
 ychiatric brain and behavior disorder research. The Foundation’s BBRF Yo
 ung Investigator Grant (YI) program enables promising investigators to eit
 her extend their research fellowship training or to begin careers as indep
 endent research faculty.\nThe program is intended to facilitate innovative
  research opportunities and supports basic\, as well as translational and/
 or clinical investigators. All research must be relevant to our understand
 ing\, treatment and prevention of serious psychiatric disorders such as: s
 chizophrenia\; bipolar\; mood and anxiety disorders or early onset brain a
 nd behavior disorders.\nDuration:      1-2 years\nFunding:       
 $35\,000/year\n\nEligibility: Applicant must hold a doctoral level degree 
 and already be employed in research training\, or be in a faculty research
  position. The YI Grant is intended to support advanced post-doctoral fell
 ows\, instructors and assistant professors (or equivalent). The applicant 
 must have an on-site mentor /senior collaborator who is an established inv
 estigator in areas relevant to psychiatric disorders. They may apply up to
  twice for this award and may not hold this award more than two times. Onl
 y one principal investigator is allowed per application.\n\nHow to Apply:
