nina Shkel\nCo-examiner: Prof. Patrick Thiran\n\nAbstract\nIn the scope of
this write-up three papers offering\na hypothesis testing approach to dif
ferential privacy (DP) are\nstudied in depth. First\, the operational inte
rpretation of DP\nbased on hypothesis testing is investigated and the resu
lting\nadvanced composition theorem is explained [1]. Second\, fdifferenti
al\nprivacy (f-DP) is defined and its properties are\ndiscussed including
 a central limit theorem like phenomena under\ncomposition [2]. Finally\, t
he relationship of Renyi differential\nprivacy (RDP) with DP and f-DP is i
nspected and the improved\nprivacy analysis method is examined.\n\nBackgro
