DESCRIPTION:In 2023\, the Velux Stiftung launches its new Forestry program
  on climate change\, biodiversity and forest products. A yearly budget of 
 CHF 2 million will be dedicated to the program. One call for proposals wil
 l be published every year from 2022 to 2026.\n\nGoals:The overall objectiv
 e of the program is to improve sustainable forest management that addresse
 s the pressing problems of climate change and biodiversity loss as well as
  society’s need for forest products.\nThematic focus of the call:\n\n	In
 novative\, sustainable and integrative forest management to develop and pr
 ovide solutions for adapting to or mitigating climate change\, promoting b
 iodiversity\, providing resilient ecosystems services and supplying sustai
 nable forest products\n	Incentives for action and behavioural change by tr
 ansforming theoretical and abstract values of forest products and services

  \n\n\n	Research projects: with a high potential to change forestry pract
 ice\, which include stakeholder engagement and targeted knowledge transfer
 .\n	 \n	Science-practice projects: which aim to facilitate collaboration
  between researchers and practitioners to improve accessibility and compre
 hensibility of specified forest management findings relevant to stakeholde
 rs.\n	 \n\nWho can apply\n\n\n	Both individual researchers and research g
 roups can apply.\n	At least one applicant (e.g. professor\, group leader) 
 must be a permanent employee of a university or other permanent research e
 ntity anywhere in the world.\n	Other partners can be forest owners\, pract
 itioners\, consulting or (non)-governmental agencies\, etc.\n\nDuration of
  the projects: 1 to 4 years.\nFunding:  up to 100’000 per year (at leas
 t 10% to be used for knowledge transfer)\nDeadlines:\n\n\n	Submission: 19
