 AO). The New York Times has named her as one of the ten women that change 
 the landscape of global leadership. She is internationally known for her w
 ork on promoting neglected and underutilized crops\, use of non-fresh wate
 r in agriculture\, and empowerment of women in science.\n\nAbstract:\n\nWi
 th the UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero hunger) and other goals of 
 the 2030 Agenda being off-track\, we need to urgently transform our agrifo
 od systems. Science\, technology and innovation (STI) can bring opportunit
 ies to accelerate this transformation. STI will also allow the agrifood sy
 stems to cope with tremendous pressure to produce more in order to meet th
 e growing demands for food of the growing world’s population – which i
 s estimated to reach 10 billion in 2050\; alongside the need to produce mo
 re nutritious food more sustainably\, with less input and less harmful imp
