DESCRIPTION:The DOD Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) manage
 s the basic research investment for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force.\nT
 hey solicit proposals for basic research through this general Broad Agency
  Announcement. Unclassified proposals that do not contain proprietary info
 rmation for research are expected in many broad research areas. This is fo
 r fundamental research only.\nProgram Description\nResearch areas are orga
 nized and managed in two scientific branches:\n\n	Engineering and Informat
 ion Sciences (RTA)\n	\n		Engineering and complex systems (rta1)\n		Informa
 tion and networks (rta2)\n	\n	\n	Physical and Biological Sciences (RTB)\n	
 \n		Physical sciences (rtb1)\n		Chemistry and biological sciences (rtb2)\n
 	\n	\n\nThey are described in detail in the funding opportunity announceme
 nt (FOA)\nAmount\nApproximately $200 million is anticipated to be availabl
 e for support of actions awarded under this announcement\, subject to avai
 lability of funds. Research proposals funded between $100\,000 and $300\,0
 00 per year are encouraged. \nDuration: Most of the awards will be three (
 3) years in duration. Awards may be proposed for not more than five (5) ye
 ars.\nDeadline: No specific deadline\nEligibility / Restrictions\nAFOSR ha

 sic research grants at foreign institutions. Research areas of interest in
 clude all listed topics for the four scientific teams given above as well 
 as other innovative research concepts (please refer to section A.6. of the
