DESCRIPTION:Alberto Zaffaroni\nThere has been some recent progress in unde
 rstanding the microscopic derivation of the entropy of supersymmetric AdS 
 black holes using holography   and sophisticated  quantum field theory c
 omputations.\n\nIn this talk\,  after a general overview  of the problem
  and of the recent results\, I discuss the large N factorization properti
 es of  supersymmetric partition functions for CFT with a holographic dual
  in various dimensions. I  show how this factorization is related to a un
 iversal gluing formula for the entropy functionals of known AdS black hole
 s in terms of elementary objects called gravitational blocks.
